    ROAMING TREES

Workshops: Spinnarium & Storytelling for children

Roaming Trees are Linda and Tamas. Their roots are in Europe, Hungary but eight years ago they roamed to Tasmania, and they are still roaming…Classical storytelling is an intimate situation for every kid. Children gather and sit in a semicircle then the sound of the flute creates that mental space where the “sleeping” folktales come to life and float into our minds and heart. Tamas uses stories from his own Hungarian tradition, but also from other cultures from all over the world in the most respectful and sensitive way.

WASH MY SOUL IN RIVER'S FLOW

Feature Film : Wash My Soul in the River’s Flow is a cinematic reinvention of a legendary concert that premiered in 2004.

Kura Tungar-Songs from the River was a collaboration between two of Australia’s greatest artists—singer-songwriters Archie Roach and Ruby Hunter. Using footage combining conversations, rehearsals, and the opening night, with breathtaking images of Hunter’s Ngarrindjeri country in South Australia, the film is a portrait of artists at the peak of their powers and a profoundly moving story of loss, love and what it means to truly come ‘home’.
