When you get to a place where you understand that love and belonging, your worthiness, is a birthright and not something you have to earn, anything is possible.

Holotropic Breathwork

Holotropic Breathwork

An adventure of self-discovery and healing

Holotropic Breathwork™ is an exceptionally powerful natural method of self-exploration and personal transformation through accessing expanded states of awareness. Drawing on profound knowledges of Earth-honouring and Earth-wisdom cultures, Holotropic Breathwork was founded by Christina and Stanislav Groff as a potent practice for healing past wounds and fulfilling our full potential.

This retreat is open to anyone interested and previous experience with Holotropic Breathwork® is not necessary. However, to ensure we can support you in the best way possible, new Breathers are required to have an introductory phone call prior to paying a deposit and will receive payment details after that initial chat.

Connecting to the healing power of Culture and Country

Honouring the deep generosity of the Balinese people and the gracious healing power of the mountainous land and water ways of Bali, our retreat will commence with an Opening Ceremony hosted by Balian (traditional Balinese healer).

Our journey of self exploration continues through combining ancient Indigenous traditions with modern practices of expanded states of awareness. During the retreat participants will experience:

Holotropic Breathwork

Traditional Balinese Healing teachings

Melukat (water purification)

Radical Receiving teachings

Astrological insight teachings

Nutritious meals & sumptuous accommodation

Sound Healing (optional)

Yoga (optional)

Balinese Massage/Bodywork (optional)

Ecstatic Dance (optional)

Water Purification Ceremony/Melukat at a sacred Bangli waterfall

We are delighted to include, as an important integration process, a remarkable experience called Melukat.

This is a sacred Water Purification ceremony.

Held in an ancient water temple, where the convergence of two rivers forms natural springs, you will be accompanied through the experiences by guides.

Stopping at each of a series of purification points and waterfalls, you will be blessed with holy water, which locals know provides therapeutic benefits on a holistic level.

If we never had it…. then how do we know what to ask for?

Radical receiving - Healing the pain of the deep void

In addition to Holotropic Breathwork® breathing and sitting, participants will be invited to explore their beliefs and patterns of receiving. Many of us report struggling to receive the support, care and attention that we need in order to live with vitality and a healthy balance between giving and receiving.  For some of us it is a struggle to even identify what we truly want and desire. For others, we have a well defined psyche that may prefer to “do it by myself”.

Facilitators Ruth Langford and Martha Calhoun will share their deep experiential knowledge and practices to help us understand the impact of omission trauma, also known as neglect trauma which refers to the psychological and emotional consequences that can result from the absence of necessary caregiving, particularly during early childhood. This also extends to an absence of belonging or a felt sense of connection to that which can hold us when we are feeling lost or on the edge of the void.

During this retreat we will explore how we have learned to ignore our innate desires and needs and the harm caused when we do not honor our own limits or the limits of others. We will experience practice that returns us into a right relationship with our need for positive connection and how we can ask for that in healthy and meaningful ways.
